Sennen Baptisms

January 1998 The transcription of the Birth and Burial records has been carried our by myself  and my husband George. We have transcribed the records from a hand written record which is lodged at the Morrab Library in Penzance. This was the work of W Treffry Hoblyn which he carried out using the original parish registers.  W. T. Hoblyn was an official transcriber for the Royal Institution of Cornwall.

Sennen Marriages

Marriages.

The transcription of the Sennen Parish Records has been carried out by two different groups. Dealing first with the marriages, these were transcribed by Margaret Owens the Secretary of the Cornish Association of Victoria Inc., Australia, and also the Convenor of the St.Just District Research Group. Margaret carried out the transcription using a copy of the printed register published by Phillimore and Taylor this was augmented by using other information such as the Cornwall Family History Society's publication "Cornwall Marriage Transcription Index". I would like to extend my thanks to Margaret for allowing us to put her work onto this site.

                              Online Parish Clerks Cornwall

A project to aid those interested in locating genealogical information in Cornwall. Volunteers freely donate their time and research to help those interested in their chosen parish. Each has gathered information they consider to be relevant, and will answer e-mail inquiries. Some have websites and others do not, depending on the nature of their resource materials. If a request exceeds the resources of the OPC they can often offer research guidance or referrals. For a list of  OPC volunteers and  parishes pleas click on this link below:
